EU funding - Horizon 2020

 

Horizon 2020 is the new Framework Programme for Research
and Innovation of the European Commission, with a global budget higher
than 77 thousand millions euros until 2020, to support research, innovation and demonstration projects.

SCIENTIFIC EXCELENCE: Activities under this Pillar aim to reinforce and extend the excellence of the Union’s science base and to consolidate the European Research Area in order to make the Union’s research and
innovation system more competitive on a global scale.


SOCIETAL CHALLENGES: Reflects the policy priorities of the Europe 2020 strategy and addresses major concerns shared by citizens in Europe and elsewhere. Activities covering every cycle from research to the market, with a new focus on innovation-related activities such as piloting, demonstrations, test-beds, among others bringing together resources and knowledge across different fields, technologies, social sciences and humanities such as health and well-being activities, energetic efficiency, agriculture, sea feeding, safe and inclusive societies.

INDUSTRIAL LEADERSHIP: Aims to accelerate the development of the technologies and innovations that will underpin tomorrow’s businesses and help the innovative European SMEs to grow into world-leading
companies.

SME INSTRUMENT: The dedicated SME instrument’s supports close-to-market activities, with the aim to give a strong boost to breakthrough innovation. Highly innovative SMEs with a clear commercial ambition and a potential for high growth and internationalisation are the prime target.

The service provision process of Neomarca provides full support in preparing previous studies and in the stages of preparation, presentation, approval and management of applications.


The following funding schemes are presently open to formalise applications:


PROJECTS IN COLLABORATION

Addressees: R&D Institutes, Learning Institutions, SME, Companies

Funded activities: T R&D; Innovation; Management; Others (Training, Dissemination and Exploitation)

Eligibility Conditions: Minimum 3 entities from different countries and independent from one another.

Direct Costs: 100% Research Projects; 70% Innovation Projects (except universities and non-profit institutions = 100%)

Indirect Costs: Set rate of 25% (of direct costs minus subcontracting)


SME INSTRUMENT

Addressees: SME (possibility of subcontracting)

Funded activities: Innovation; Management; Others (Training, Dissemination and Exploitation)

Eligibility Conditions: 1 SME

Direct costs: 70%

Indirect costs: Set rate of 25% (of direct costs minus subcontracting)


COORDINATION AND SUPPORT ACTIONS 

Addressees: R&D Institutes, Learning Institutions, SME, Companies

Funded activities: Management; Others (Training, Dissemination and Exploitation)

Eligibility Conditions: 1 entity

Direct costs: 100%

Indirect costs: Set rate of 25% (of direct costs minus subcontracting)
